PPT 6 of 7 Persistence and the Master Mind Group

(PPT) Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. –Calvin Coolidge
We are more than half way through this series called, Manifesting through the Law of Attraction. Since the beginning of this series, we have discussed various factors that affect the efficacy or the success rate of this Law. And before I go any further, let me rephrase what I just said. It is incorrect to say whether the law work or not. The Law always works. It is a Universal Law as Universal and as scientific as gravity. In the context that we are talking about, the law is always manifesting that which we have chosen to focus on with our thoughts, with our words, with our attitudes, etc. If we have been focusing on what we do not want, that is what we are going to manifest exactly. If our approach to demonstrating has been vague or namby-pamby, the results are going to be likewise.

Now, as a quick review of what we have covered so far, number one, we are in a Universe that is in constant vibration. This Universe was set in motion by Source energy. We can say the same thing in religious terms by quoting the first verse of Genesis, In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. We also discussed that the Law of Attraction does not work outside of the realm of Spirituality, faith, and prayer. We also talked about using the power of our minds, precisely the power of auto suggestion to train our mind to focus on the things we want. Specifically, we said that we could use this power of autosuggestion in declaring and affirming that the Universe, God, or Spirit can help us increase our faith. Later we talked about the importance of having a burning desire and clarity of purpose to achieve our dreams, our goals, and desires. To that end, we could use the power of our imagination and visualization. Last week we talked about the importance of making decisions and taking action on those decisions. We discussed how too much analysis could lead to paralysis. We also mention that the emotion of fear was often the culprit for our lack of action.
I ended my talk last week introducing the concept of the Master Mind, which is something that I heard for the first time more than 40 years ago when I first read Napoleon Hills classic, Think and Grow Rich.
Today we will expand on the Master Mind but also introduce persistence as a key element on manifesting abundance, demonstrating the health of mind and body or anything that we wish to have manifested in our lives.
The Master Mind is a group of people with one goal in common. This group should not be more than 4 or five people, but it could be as little as 2. Remember that the concept of the Master Mind originates with the Gospel verse that reads, “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. (Matthew 18- 19,20) I think it is important that we look at this verse spiritually or metaphysically as opposed to literally. Is this saying that this is some conditional statement that indicates that we need to meet in the name of Jesus of Nazareth? I honestly do not think so. Remember that Jesus never called attention to himself and instead, gave all the credit to the Father. In this particular case, “In my Name” means, in the name of the Christ or the name of the awareness that in God we live, in God we move and in God we have our being. When two or more, agree on that premise, the level of God or Source energy vibration, will rise, making the Master Mind group more powerful, because of the Creator, himself, herself ITSELF, is, by all means, and purposes, part of that meeting.
So, from a practical point a view, a Master Mind group can and should accomplish several things. We have discussed the first one. The union of two or three minds with one sole purpose raises the energy and the vibration of that group to one of Unity with our Creator. The second thing that it accomplishes is that provides two classes of support. The first one is that the Master Mind should be composed of people that are going to support your dream, your ambitions and your goals. The other thing that it offers is what I choose to call, Accountability Support. What this means, is the group will lovingly question you if you did not follow through on what you said, you were going to do. One of the qualities that a good and stable Master Mind group has is the expectation that everyone in that group is serious about manifesting whatever it is that they are pursuing. A Master Mind group is not a social group. A Master Mind group is a group of support and accountability. The meetings of a Master Mind group should not be longer than 30 to 60 minutes and should follow an agenda or protocol.
Now, one of the qualities that lead or move people to seek the support of a Master Mind group, or forming one with that goal, is the quality of persistence, which is a fundamental element for the Law of Attraction to work in the direction of your dreams. It doesn’t matter how disciplined we are at being persistent, now and then we catch ourselves falling off the wagon and slacking in the things that we are supposed to do to stay focused on the things that move us closer to our goals.
Among the many things that get in the way of persistence are distractions. Brian Tracy, a sales writer, and motivator said that there are two types of activities. Some activities are goal-achieving while others are tension-relieving. Being glued to the television, our mobile devices or other distractions is tension-relieving. Making phone calls, working on a goal related project is goal-achieving. Also when we watch TV, we are helping someone else achieve their dreams but are not moving any closer to achieving ours.

How to:

First. Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say, “I want plenty of money.” Be definite as to the amount. (There is a psychological reason for definiteness which will be described in a subsequent chapter.)
Second. Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money
you desire. (There is no such reality as “something for nothing.”)
Third. Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.
Fourth. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.
Fifth. Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.
Sixth. Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night and once after arising in the morning. AS YOU READ, SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY.

Next week we will bring it all together when we wrap up the series with a message about taking the Law of Attraction to the Next Level. I can’t wait to hear what I have to say.

Blessing to all.
