In preparation of the adverse weather conditions as a result of Hurricane Irma, we have decided not to have our Sunday service this week. We will resume our regular service the following week on September 17. In the meantime, please stay dry and safe and pay attention to news and weather advisories. I share below a prayer that was shared by our friend, Marque Kolack.
Irma Be Nice!
May raging winds, tumultuous tides and roaring waters head east Dear Lady!
We are being called to be calm under stress. Focused, full of precision, preparing, and moving wisely we forge ahead, listening to spirit, with perhaps a forced optimism, nevertheless we rise up to meet this challenge with a collected confidence!
We have learned to pray and meditate, so now we must. We ask in group for Irma to find her calm, to settle down from the rage, to balance the pressure so the contrast is not so extreme. We ask for the Bermuda High to lessen its grip allowing a harmless path to unfold for this Intense Hurricane. We ask for the steering northern streaming currents to strengthen to push this whirling wildness east and away from Florida. We ask for timing to turn this not being a very dear lady away from land. With Christ by my side we hold hands with Angels and Masters, with the People we know and love, and with the beings of this Earth to see calm arise within the Storms of our Senses, seeing the symphony of stunning silence which leads to relief, rejoicing and thankfulness.
As a Guardian of Gaia, Daughter of the Divine Mother, friend of Jesus, neighbor to all, I pray.
