The Journey Continues
Last night, before I turned off my light to go to sleep, I said to Alinda, my loving wife, I don’t know whats’s going on but I am feeling sad.. That was quickly replaced by, maybe not, I am just feeling anxious about everything that is going on and starting radiation soon. Alinda came closer and snuggled up next to me and we just remained quiet for at least 15 minutes when I felt that I was ready to drift into sleep.
That’s all I needed at that moment; No words were spoken. But just feeling her warm embrace brought me a sense of peace and of knowing that everything is going to be alright.
As I continue through my healing and restoration, and as I prepare to receive the Radiating Beams of Healing and Restoration Light (my term for radiation) I am reminded of a word that my fellow minister, Miguel Corales, uses all the time: Solo Dios (Only God)
I must remind myself of one of my core beliefs and that is that God is Omnipresent. I must know that with all my mind, with all my heart, with all my soul. Richard Burdick, wrote a song that goes, “There is no you, there is no me, there’s only God that I can see. There is no us, there is no them, there’s only God, Amen.
We humans have invented the concept of duality, when in fact, every cell of our bodies is the intelligence of God individualized in each of us. As I continue my journey I must see God individualized in everything, including my present condition, my doctors, my treatments, every decision that is made on my behalf, etc. I remain steadfast on the affirmation, I am Life, I am Health, I am Wholeness. It is my Divine Nature.
Those of you that are supporting me with prayers, please do not beg or beseech a god outside of you. Get in touch with the God of your being and embrace an attitude of gratitude knowing beyond any doubt that I am whole and well. “My faith has made me whole”
I close with this verse from Acts, 17, 24-28
The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
